"But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15
Dear someone,
Have you ever taken time to reflect on why God created you? Before you were born, you were not here. Yet God, in His wisdom and love, chose to bring you into this world at a specific time and for a specific purpose.
Have you ever wondered why you exist? Why God allowed you to live on the very day you were born? Why He made you who you are?
Perhaps you already know the answer, or you are still figuring it out. But one thing is certain, we were created to know God, honor Him, and serve Him.
The Life he gave us is a precious gift, and it is sad when we take the privilege of being alive for granted.
In Joshua 24:15, Joshua challenges the people of Israel, saying, "Choose this day whom you will serve." He then boldly declares, "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." These words remind us that serving God is a choice that each of us must make every day.
Serving God can be in different ways. It can be shown through treating others with kindness, helping those in need, sharing His goodness, encouraging those who are struggling, and living a life that reflects Jesus Christ.
And The question is not only why God created us, but also how we are responding to the purpose for which He created us. Are we living for Him? Are we using the gifts, opportunities, and time He has given us to honor Him?
Dear someone, I hope you take a moment to reflect on your purpose and recognize that you were not created by accident. God created you for a reason, and He desires a relationship with you.
My prayer today is that God opens our eyes to see His purpose, our ears to hear His voice, and our hearts to follow Him. May we have the courage to make the same declaration that Joshua made.
