Becoming Before Receiving....

It is amazing how we all desire beautiful things in life success, good health, loving relationships, genuine friendships, peace, and purpose. And perhaps, that is part of God’s plan for us. But somewhere along the way, we sometimes forget that beautiful things often require something from us too. Let’s talk about relationships for a moment, because deep down, we all want to be loved, understood, and valued right? If I asked you what kind of partner or close friend you desire, you would probably already know the answer.  Most people would say: someone who loves God, someone kind, hardworking, loyal, wise, soft-hearted, disciplined… the list goes on. But let’s be honest with ourselves for a second. Are we becoming those kinds of people too? Do we obey God? Do we work hard even when we feel unmotivated? Do we treat people with kindness  not only the people we love, but even strangers? Do we choose patience, honesty, and humility in our daily lives? Deep down, we know the answer. ...

And Then You Realize… Surrendering Is All You Need

I truly believe that some things in life are not random.  The dreams placed in our hearts, the thoughts that stay on our minds, the people we unexpectedly meet, the person we slowly grow interested in, and the social connections we build, none of it is ever truly random. Recently, I was talking to a friend, and she said something that stayed with me. She asked, “Do you ever realize how you can meet someone so randomly, and after some time that connection turns out to be one of the most beautiful things in your life?” And honestly, that is how God works sometimes. When God is in a connection, there is peace .  There is familiarity, comfort, joy, and even motivation.  You do not feel the need to constantly question it or force it to make sense. Deep within you, there is calmness because your spirit recognizes something genuine. One thing I’ve learned about God is that He makes everything happen in its perf...
