And Then You Realize… Surrendering Is All You Need

Somewhere between overthinking, planning, worrying, and trying to control everything, we forget that we were never meant to carry life alone

Dear Friend there is something so peaceful about surrendering everything to Jesus! It is one of the best things we can do for ourselves.

In a world where we constantly try to control everything our plans, future, relationships, school, jobs, businesses, and even the smallest details of our lives, Jesus gently calls us to surrender. To let go. To trust Him completely.

Lately, I kept hearing the word “surrender” during different sermons, and it stayed with me. I found myself wondering, Jesus, did we forget that You can carry the things we keep trying to control on our own?

And the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much pressure we place on ourselves to have everything figured out. We hold on so tightly because we are afraid of uncertainty. Sometimes it is pride, sometimes fear, and sometimes simply exhaustion from trying to carry everything alone.

But surrender is not weakness.
Surrender is trust.
It is saying, “Jesus, I cannot do this without You anymore.”

Maybe there are parts of our lives we are still holding onto too tightly. Maybe it is a relationship, a dream, our future, our pain, or unanswered prayers. But I am slowly learning that there is so much peace in placing everything into God’s hands.

So let this be your reminder today:
You do not have to carry everything alone.
You do not have to control every outcome.
You can surrender it all to Jesus.

Today, I pray that God reveals to us the areas of our lives that we need to surrender. May He soften our hearts, teach us to trust Him deeply, and remind us that His plans are always greater than our own.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

In Knowing You, I am Alive

H ey Jesus, I’ve been thinking about the wonder of knowing You. how coming to You with an open heart is the best decision anyone can ever make!  How it feels like stepping into light for the very first time. Life without You is quiet, like a song without its melody, a sky without dawn. Oh, sweet Jesus, thank You for finding us, for holding us when we could not hold ourselves. To come to You is to be changed. You love us as we are, not perfect, not polished, but raw, willing, searching. No one meets You and remains the same, Whoever touches Your heart is made new. You do not call the greatest. You lift the chosen, You strengthen the humble, You fill the broken. You heal the quiet hurts, comfort the restless soul, teach us how to walk in peace, and show us a life worth living. When we understand Your love, nothing can scare us, nothing can pull us away from you, literally nothing! They ask, “What happened to you? You’ve completely changed.” And I smile and say, ...

WRITTEN, NOT SPOKEN

I never imagined love could feel this intense from a distance. I didn’t even know you existed until the day my eyes met you and for a moment, my heart forgot how to be steady. If love at first sight exists, I thought, then maybe this was it. What I felt was unfamiliar. Quiet. Genuine. A kind of love that brought peace just by thinking of you. I didn’t know then whether it was real love, but I knew it was changing me. It changed how I thought. How I saw the world. And most importantly, it awakened something meaningful in me. Some might call it HEALING. I call it TRANSFORMATION. I often return to that first glance, wondering how something so brief could feel so deep. And yes, you could say this kind of love should be spoken but I found peace elsewhere. On paper. My pen kept moving, my ink holding the feeling with softness. This is where I placed what I felt not loudly, not to be seen, just honestly. When I tried to say it out loud, the words grew quieter. That’s when I understood:...

The Grace I Found in them

Hey dear reader, Lately, I’ve been thinking about how much of a blessing it truly is to have people in our lives. People who inspire us. People who cherish us. People who love us. People who bring change into our lives. It is such a treasure  to have people around whom you can fully be yourself, laugh wholeheartedly, those who speak life into you and remind you of who you are. Please, never take such people lightly. Never intend to lose them. Recently, while talking to a friend, she said to me, “I appreciate you coming into my life.” And wow that touched my heart deeply. It made me pause and reflect on how empty life could feel without people around us. Without those who challenge us, walk with us through experiences, and help shape who we become. Let this be a reminder today to appreciate, thank, and cherish the people in your life. Because honestly speaking, life is people . And through people, we get to live out what Jesus Christ asked of us to love one another and t...
